I have read the ministers letter and I am content that this is more progress than we have seen over the last 3 years if indeed the draft does go out to consultation in the autumn. I would welcome being notified when the draft proposals are available for comment please so that I can let those who supported my petition know as well and we can respond to the proposals.

I also note that any changes may not become law until the summer of 2025 which is far from ideal being half way through the camping season but I suggest that if businesses know the change is coming into law halfway through the season they can plan for this by using their regular 28 day permitted rights in the first half of the year and then the changes will come into force which will hopefully allow them further days within the year. But of course that will depends on what is in the draft and what comes out of the proposals.

But this is a very welcome step forward and I look forward to seeing the proposals.
